Aldrovanda biology has been studied by L. Adamec since 1993 at the Institute of Botany of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in Třeboň, Czech Republic. As it is difficult to obtain government research funds for studying Aldrovanda biology in the Czech Republic, funds from the sale of aquatic CPs are used for this purpose instead, although these are relatively small. Recent research includes DNA comparison (RAPD technique) of world Aldrovanda populations, turion overwintering ecophysiology, and boron deficiency.
